Easter Treats!
This is a super quick and cute idea for an Easter gift that is also a treat. S’mores In A Jar can be made for any season, really. As long as they sell Peeps for the occasion….
This version uses the Easter peeps. You can do bunnies or chicks, it’s up to you.

Gather these ingredients:
Peeps
M&Ms
Brown sugar
Graham cracker crumbs
A wide mouthed mason jar

Pour 1 1/2 C graham cracker crumbs into jar.

You might want to pack them down with a meat tenderizer or some other handy kitchen object. A smaller jar, or a baby bottle, or even your baby’s hand, if it’s clean.

Put Peeps into the jar, pressing them against the side of the jar so there’s a space in the middle.

Add 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed. This is the only tricky part. Trying to get the brown sugar in the middle of the Peeps without some grains escaping and making their way to the front of the jar. If you are a perfectionist, use a funnel. If you’re a recovering perfectionist, accept that some sugar will get loose, and your bunnies might end up with freckles.
See? Bunny freckles. (They are fine. It’s all fine, no one will ever notice! Except for the other perfectionists, and they can just suck it up. Or pull out all the Peeps, dust them off, and replace them. I may or may not have done that in the past.) Instead, let me draw your attention to the delicious M&Ms. You need 1 1/4 cups, which is pretty much the whole bag. You can cram them in there, or just quietly eat them in the name of preserving space.

Add the lid, tie on some ribbon and add a tag with the cooking instructions. Super cute and sweet!
The recipe is as follows:
Pour contents into a 9×9 pan. Use kitchen shears to snip the Peeps into small pieces. Mix well. Add 1/2 c butter, melted and 1 t. vanilla. Mix well and press firmly into pan. Bake at 350 F for 15 minutes.
Happy Easter!
